For 20 years, we have been helping people communicate without barriers.

Since 2006, we have provided professional interpreting and translation services to organisations across the UK, supporting clear communication in hundreds of languages and dialects.

What began as a family-run business has grown into a trusted language services provider, working with public sector organisations, legal professionals, businesses and communities nationwide. Despite our growth, we remain committed to the personal approach, reliability and strong relationships that have defined us from the very beginning.

Our Story

Our Ministry of Justice journey began with a single interpreting request.

By delivering fast, high-quality interpreting services, we quickly established a reputation for reliability within the justice sector. That reputation led to continued opportunities to support Ministry of Justice requirements and demonstrate our commitment to quality service delivery.

Over the years, we have grown from supporting one court to working with more than 100 courts, tribunals and other Commissioning Bodies across the UK. We are proud to have become a trusted secondary supplier to the Ministry of Justice, a milestone that reflects the hard work, dedication and professionalism of our team and interpreters.

Despite this growth, we remain true to our roots as a family-run business. We continue to provide the personal service, attention to detail and responsive support that have helped us build long-lasting relationships throughout the justice sector.

Mohammed Ahmed

Director

Mohammed is the founder of Translate UK, a language services company he established more than 20 years ago with a clear mission: to make communication accessible for everyone. Over two decades, he has grown the organisation from a small local service into a trusted national provider supporting public sector bodies, legal professionals, healthcare organisations, and private clients across the UK.
Driven by a commitment to quality, reliability, and community impact, Mohammed has built Translate UK on strong values—professionalism, fairness, and a belief that language should never be a barrier. His leadership continues to shape the company’s reputation for excellence and its dedication to supporting diverse communities.

Yasmin Ahmed

Director

Yasmin Ahmed is the Operations Director at Translate UK, bringing more than 17 years of experience as a practising solicitor before joining the organisation. Her legal background has been instrumental in shaping her expertise in compliance, governance, contracts, and operational management. At Translate UK, Yasmin has played a key role in developing robust processes, achieving and maintaining ISO certifications, and driving continuous improvement across the organisation.
Yasmin also leads the adoption of technology and automation to improve efficiency, quality, and service delivery. A significant part of her role has been the implementation and operational delivery of the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) contract, translating complex contractual requirements into effective systems and processes. Her combination of legal expertise, operational leadership, and focus on innovation continues to support Translate UK’s growth and reputation for excellence.
